Colocation is a service where you put your server in IDCloudHost's Data Center. We provide power and bandwidth to get the server running/online. Server management is left to you completely (for Unmanaged Colocation service). As for a Managed Colocation, we provide assistance to a number of server management activities, kindly share the service features you would like for us to provide by sending a Service Offer Request to IDCloudHost's team.

What Does the Service Provide for Users?

Here are some of the services provided on the IDCloudHost Colocation Server: 1. OpenIXP up to 1 Gbps for national access - IIX APJII up to 1 Gbps for national access. 2. Supported with Equinix peering SGIX, Equinix up to 100 Mbps Openshare so that your server can be accessed quickly from abroad. 3. Direct access to Google and Yahoo servers via CDN network with connection speed up to 100 Mbps. 4. Direct access to Facebook servers and to SGIX via the PGASIX network with connection speeds up to 50 Mbps. 5. Standard International Bandwidth Up to 100 Mbps. 6. And some other services for your needs.

Can IDCloudHost's Team Conduct a Server Setting for Servers Sent via POS?

Of course you can. However, please understand that all damages due to the delivery/handling of goods are beyond our responsibility. You can send it to the Data Center by contacting IDCloudHost team first. Regarding configuration, a fee will be charged which will later be discussed with the IDCloudHost team through the IDCloudHost Colocation Server service offer.

What Will Happen Shall There be Damages Occurred to Clients' Servers?

Please come to the location where IDCloudHost Data Center is located and bring the replacement hardware. Or send replacement hardware via post/courier, but please be aware that all damage due to delivery/handling is beyond our responsibility. Note: You can also consider using the Dedicated Server service from IDCloudHost, where the server is provided by us. So that the problem of hardware damage then becomes our responsibility.

What is the Difference Between Managed and Unmanaged Colocation Service?

Accepted Answer

By Default, IDCloudHost Colocation Server service is unmanaged. If you do not order managed services, then the server management is left entirely to the Client (via remote login such as SSH/remote desktop or clients can come directly to our place). We only provide a server reboot service if your server goes down. If you order managed services, then it is likely that the requirements you are asking for are outside the standard/provided specifications of managed services from IDCloudHost. Please understand that we do not currently provide a "do everything on your server" service, our managed service is only limited to the scope of the services we mention. Please send us a service request regarding your needs, we will do our best to facilitate.

Why Do Clients Need to Send Their Servers to a Data Center Address Different Than IDCloudHost's Office Address?

This is because our team is divided into several divisions. For management & customer support, they are located in a typical office, whereas for the technical operations related to Dedicated Server Services and Colocation Server, several teams are made to standby at the data center to monitor the performance of the server owned by IDCloudHost.
